Collection: Rhaphidophora
Rhaphidophora this genus consists of evergreen, sturdy, climbing plants. The flowers have both male and female parts, and no perigone. The spathe falls off after the flowers bloom. The ovary has two (sometimes 3) parietal placentas that hold eight or more ovules each. The flowers produce many straight, ellipsoid seeds with a smooth and brittle coat (testa).
